I wrote this fictional conversation to explain cryptocurrency and decentralization to officials in India and China who think blockchain is good and Cryptocurrency is bad. 

In the conversation, Internet is synonymous with Cryptocurrency and Intranet is synonymous with private blockchain. 

Conversation of Alice and Bob 20 years back.

Alice: Have you heard of a new technology called Internet?

Bob: Yes. I know about it. Internet is a scam. It is used for pornography, financial fraud and even for terrorism.

Alice: Yeah. But Internet can be used for good things like education. It can make a more efficient society. It is inevitable.

Bob: You tell Internet can improve efficiency? Internet is super slow. It takes 15 minutes to load a page.

Alice: Yes, Internet is slow today but will be faster tomorrow.

Bob: We have TV which is fast. We do not need Internet.

Alice: TV is a limited centralized network. Internet is the future. Everything can be done with internet. 

Bob: No. You got it wrong. Internet is a scam but the technology that powers internet is wonderful. That technology is the Modems and LAN cables. 

Alice: The Technology behind Internet is great. And Internet is great too. 

Bob: Hmm. The reports by tech giants is that private internet is safer. Private internet can be controlled by the government.

Alice: If it is private internet then it is Intranet. Not internet.

Bob: I trust the Intranet which is run by tech giant's than the Internet. 

Alice: Okay. One final question. How is an Intranet and a centralized file storage different?

Bob: Internet is a fancy word. File storage is not.

Alice: Lol. Fine. For what purpose will you use an Intranet? 

Bob: Intranet will be used for everything. Like for financial transactions, real estate records and agriculture.

Alice: All the best.

Bob: Thanks.
