Just eight month after its release back in April 2020 Binance will shut down it's local Korean exchange binance.kr . In a notice published binance Korea said it's difficult to operate the local exchange because of low liquidity and scarce trading volumes.

Closing schedule is as follows:

• Closure of registrations on 24th December.
• Closure of trading services on 10th January 2021.
• Hard shutdown on 29th January 2021.

After the hard shutdown accounts of binance KR users will be inaccessible. Binance users who have BKRW a token issued by binance KR will have the option to swap the BKRW into BUSD.
