When I initially started in Crypto, I didn't really know where to begin. All I knew bitcoin will make me money. So, like everyone, I went on youtube and decided to look at some videos and tried to make sense of it. Clearly, that didn't help as much as I would have liked it too so what did I do. I downloaded coinbase and purchased some BTC.
Looking back I wish I had a guide to tell me at least the very fundamentals of where to get started. So I will be sharing my brief experiences through my own crypto journey.
Stage 1
- DONT FOMO, unless we are clearly in a bullish uptrend and broken through ATH, you should really wait and don't buy into the hype. Chances are you will get rekt.
- DON'T solely rely on an anonymous Crypto Twitter/youtube 'influencer'. The reason being; while you can pick up some good information, it's always helpful to get confluence/confirmation from your own research via reading the project whitepaper, looking at the volume and diluted market cap. Chances are these people will either be dumping their bags on you or simply have been paid by the project they are promoting.
- DONT buy coins because they are 'cheap' in the top 100 on Coingeko/Coinmarket cap understand economics and finance. Learn basic fundamentals behind market caps and supply and demand.
Depending on the feedback, ill be looking to share more of my experiences from the ground up.
