Living with plants brought me mental stability and happiness in my life. This time, I would like to share how my life is with plants and how they enriched my life, as I live with plants every day.
There are many people spending more time at home due to remote work, so I hope you consider this as an idea to enjoy spending time in your room.
When I wake up, the first thing I do is go out to the balcony with my toothbrush and observe the plants slowly. I wander on the balcony while brushing my teeth.
There are many plants on the balcony, and they change every day, so you won't get tired of looking at them.
When you look at the plants, return to your room and jot down one thing you noticed or felt in your notebook. One page every day in a small notebook. Just doing this routine will significantly improve your mind.
For me, going out to the balcony in the morning is as effective as going for a morning walk in the park. Since you're exposed to the morning sun for about 15 minutes and connected with nature, it might feel like bathing in the forest!
While having my meals, I noticed something! the taste of the food changes. Specifically, it increases the sensitivity of the taste buds. This is just my experience, but the food tastes more delicate, and I find myself using fewer spices. It may sound suspicious, but maybe it's akin to the phenomenon of "food tastes better when eaten outdoors". For some reason, food consumed in the garden, while camping, or outdoors seems a bit more delicious than usual. Maybe it's close to that.
At night, I write my articles, read books, draw, and try to avoid blue light as much as possible. The plants accompany me during these times.
I feel happy when I spend time with a vase of fully bloomed flowers on my desk and a refreshing cold drink. I loved this way of life, and I thought it would be nice for humans to be more alike!
If you're interested in having plants at home, treat them like pets and place them where they thrive. You can put them on the windowsill or balcony floor where they can easily grow because it's essential to find the right spot and choose plants that suit them initially, so they won't end up lethargic and sick:(
The only thing I'd like to consider is that plants love gentle sunlight and will grow stronger if placed in the right environment. However, it's not advisable to leave them in direct sunlight for extended periods.
I love my alone time, but I enjoy spending time with the silent plants even more. At night, just relaxing with the plants illuminated by warm lights makes me feel happy :)
From now on, I want to live with plants as one of the foundations of my heart. Of course, I'm also attracted to their superficial beauty and allure, but what I truly appreciate now is the time I spend with them.
When I contemplate the plants I've grown accustomed to for a long time, various ideas come to my mind, and I find inspiration to express myself and write.
I would be grateful if this article could draw your attention to those readers who are characterized by silence :)
