It's meme coin season; just because some tokens are cooling, doesn't mean they all are! Leading the charge of memes are Doge, Shiba Inu, and Pepe -- to name a few. But have you seen the new frog in town? Are you familiar with Turbo Token? It's relatively new to me. It's probably best to start with its creation. After all, every great meme coin has an intriguing backstory. Let's start with the original Twitter (X) post that started it all:

And so a new cryptocurrency was born. You can follow the complete thread and see how the community helped create the project by voting on different options each stop of the way. It's actually pretty remarkable how far the project has come: from $69 to startup to an $800 million market cap today. It's been a pretty steady climb for TURBO thus far:

Yes, 2024 has been good for TURBO. Hell, this year's been to pretty much every cryptocurrency. With a recent listing on Coinbase, this meme coin has only gained community members, buyers, and watchers. The website boasts a merch shop, links, and white paper. 

So, with meme coins having the spotlight at the moment, how much higher can TURBO go? With others like PEPE, BONK, FLOKI, and MOG boasting $1 billion and higher market capitalizations, it would seem there's no reason why TURBO can't join the billion dollar club.
