It's just under a week to go -- the illustrious holiday that is April Fool's Day, coming on the first of the fourth month of the year. Every year, major companies feel the need to get in on the gag too. They fool us with unbelievable fake products, teasers, etc. Sometimes they get us, sometimes it's obvious. Well, it seems that two companies in particular couldn't wait until April.
The former video rental chain Blockbuster has updated its website to perhaps foreshadow a comeback, or maybe it's just a joke:

Just what does this cryptic message mean? Are they really coming back, in one form or another? Or is it just a gag?
Little Caesar's was less ambiguous and went full-on crazy:

The tweet contains a 15 second video advertisement promoting the "new" pizza. What really takes the cake is the two liter of liquified butter that supposedly comes with the new corncob crust pizza:

Personally, I quite enjoy these goofabouts that are put out by companies. Surely, a marketing stunt and very successful. As you can see, the tweet from Little Caesar's has garnered over 8 million views. As far as getting the name out there, it's super effective. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, maybe you should read this blog post again.
