I have very fond memories of the Indiana Jones film series. Specifically, watching the original trilogy with my father incessantly when I was a young lad. We had a VHS set that looked something like this:

Ours was a bit more worn, but you get the idea. It was a great bonding experience actually, looking back on it. So when the trailer for the fifth installment in the series dropped today, of course I had to send it to my dad first. It is titled Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and it looks pretty awesome:
I love how the trailer pays homage to the original trilogy, from a giant rolling boulder (Raiders of the Lost Ark) to riding a motorcycle down a mine cart shaft (Temple of Doom and Last Crusade combined). Harrison Ford is now 80 years old, and the film is said to make use of "anti-aging technology" to make him look younger. Alongside Ford will be Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas. Also reprising his role from the original films is the now 78-year old John Rys-Davies, who you may not recognize by name but you will likely recall his jovial Sallah character:

So there you have it. That's about everything I have heard and read about the new Indiana Jones movie. It is directed by James Mangold, to be released June 30, 2023 and will of course feature the iconic music by John Williams, who plans for it to be his final film score before retiring. If you look further online, there is more information regarding plot and details on production of the movie. I am choosing not to read too much about it, as I don't want to spoil it for myself.
Are you excited for the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, or do you think it's just milking the franchise for what it's worth?
