A Big Win for Origin Materials
On December 13th, the Baton Rouge Area Chamber hosted its first annual Big Wins Bash. By all indications, it was a pretty swanky event and hosted investors and company representatives alike. The reception was held at L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles in Baton Rouge. Let's have a look at that massive resort:
I caught wind of this happening on one of my favorite resources to track company news, LinkedIn.
Five representatives from Origin Materials were present, including Robert Nissen, Project Director for the Origin Megasite. The event hosted other companies who had project wins in 2022 to celebrate economic growth in the area. A total of 39 companies were honored, who are bringing 3600 new jobs to the local area and capital expenditures in excess of $10 billion.

That's quite the peer group and certainly promising, just hours ahead of the Louisiana State Bond Commission's meeting. From all indicators, it appears that the state of Louisiana and local municipalities are all-in on Origin Materials and the future of carbon-negative materials.
