Optimism & OP Ethereum Are My Favourite P0x Tipping Tokens To Date

Just wanted to make a quick note, professing my appreciation for the integration of the Optimism Network tokens here on Publish0x. Before I make my case for why those are my favourite tipping tokens, I'll reflect briefly on previous tipping tokens and my experiences with them:

iFarm

Pumped as the auto-compounding crypto, iFarm was here on P0x in 2021 and eventually discontinued. I never really got into the DeFi Yield Farming aspect of it, but the project is still active. My main gripe with iFarm was that it was very difficult to swap to anything else. Though the token is about 95% off its all-time high, Harvest 4 just went live on May 31, 2024. Here's a link to the HarvestApp.

Statera

Another one which is off its all-time high by quite a bit is Statera. Actually the current price puts STA in the double-zero club, currently trading at $0.0026 a token.

"Statera is a smart contract powered Indexed Deflationary Ecosystem, which synergizes with a trustless and community-driven portfolio of class-leading cryptocurrencies. Every trade for Statera creates arbitrage opportunities, which results in volume rippling across the entire Statera ecosystem, resulting in higher fees paid to liquidity providers. The main use-case of Statera therefore could be described as "Volume Farming"

Again, the problem I had with STA was exchanging it for anything else. Also, the "volume farming" never really seemed to take off because there never was much volume on the ecosystem. I think we had STA here on P0x sometime in 2021, and I don't recall it lasting too long.

Ampleforth

AMPL was here on P0x in 2021 through November 2023, and I seem to recall it lasting quite sometime here on the platform. I personally liked it, as it was easy to swap for ETH and it held its value pretty well in the short-term. Additionally, there was always pretty good volume from what I recall. I know that a lot of people did not like the auto increase/decrease of token amounts in user wallets, but such is the feature of Ampleforth. Coinbase recently delisted wAMPL.

Spot

I feel like the SPOT token was generally rejected by the P0x community, though I ended up putting it to use with some irresponsible spending on ETH fees. Follow-up on SPOT liquidity and Provided SPOT Liquidity if you're curious to read. I still have a lot of SPOT in my wallet that I'm not sure what to do with. It's just sitting, like a good boy!

Ethereum

Of course we had mainnet Ether here on P0x on & off throughout the years. It's nearly the best tipping token that's been available. The drawback with ETH, for me, was getting to that $5.00 minimum payout level. I didn't use Kucoin, which I believe only required a $2.00 minimum. The only token that would beat it would be Bitcoin, but I don't see the developers making that available.

Now, onto Optimism (OP) and Ethereum (OP). What's great is that the fees are relatively low. It's easily exchangeable for other cryptos, and you can even do a cross-chain exchange and save on fees. I've exchanged Optimism for ETH (OP) and, subsequently mainnet ETH. Next, I will be exchanging some OP in Trust Wallet for BNB, just to see how that works and to report back on how the exchange went.

As far as utility, you can do a lot more with OP tokens than previous tipping tokens we've had here on P0x. While I'm certainly grateful for all other tipping tokens and the experiences I've had with them, it's very nice to have something you can work with.

The best part of the OP tokens is that the minimum for payout is only $0.50, much less than any other tipping token.

Optimism is a great network with cheaper gas fees than the Ethereum Network. The community, myself included, seem to be loving the Optimism Network so far and are putting the tokens to use!
