Today marks the 14th anniversary of the launch of the Litecoin network! Can you believe that LTC initially launched with a price of less than $5 per coin? It was created by MIT graduate and former Google engineer Charlie Lee.

Litecoin has been compared as "silver" to Bitcoin's "gold" comparison. LTC itself is a fork of Bitcoin, with slight modifications to allow for a faster block generation rate and a faster transaction confirmation time. Investors have seen two price surges over the past 14 years, only to be disappointed by recent "flat" price action. Though the coin has been holding its price range fairly steadily as of recent.
