If you are a Coinbase customer, be prepared. The company has sent out a forewarning, detailing a planned outage to occur on March 4, 2023.
My prognostication: Coinbase users are going to freak out and have a collective fit on March 4, 2023. I can only imagine how many people have received the above email and will either ignore it or just plain forget about it. Whenever exchanges go out, chaos ensues. Conspiracies arise, and people get paranoid and angry -- often thinking that even planned outages are a plot to disrupt traders and steal money from the little guy.
I am curious as to what effect the planned Coinbase outage will have on prices. They are the second largest CEX by trading volume.
Hold onto your hats and let's see what happens here. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. Maybe not. After all, it won't mark the first time Coinbase has gone down.
