Bitcoin Silver Wallet v5.1 Update Released

Bitcoin Silver Wallet v5.1 Update Released

Hello fellow P0x'ers; just a quick note here regarding the current Bitcoin Silver project. If you missed my first post, here's a link to it -- just a bit of background on the BTCS project, blockchain, and mining.

Welp, the price seems to have taken a sudden dive.

Today's trading action in BTCS saw a big downward plunge on heavy selling pressure. A couple of big red candles took us from penny land to .00 territory. The penny line now becomes resistance needed to break through to get back into the previous trading channel. More shall be revealed on that front!

Anyway, let's get back to the point (and title) of this post. The Bitcoin Silver Team released version 5.1 of the Silver Wallet app today, available for Android devices on the Google Play store. It's an extremely small -- 1.4 MB -- update, in case you're concerned about storage space. The chat feature now features a live price scroll. BTCS is now listed on a total of five exchanges:

  • QUTRADE (new)
  • KlingEx (new)
  • EXBITRON
  • NESTEX
  • BitStorage

Overall, the update creates a smoother experience. Personally, I've noticed a faster launch time when opening the app.

Also, you can try out the new commands available in the chat:

  • /price -- this will give you the current price of BTCS, sourced from LiveCoinWatch
  • /info -- this will provide you with an "About BTCS Messenger"
  • /help -- this will guide you on how to use all the messenger features

So, that's pretty much it for now. Bitcoin Silver remains a volatile, low-volume, early stage coin...if you're into that kind of thing. Let's hope this coin doesn't dwell in double zero land too long. At this point, pennyland seems so close, yet so far! Until next time...
