A Dose of Bitcoin Memes & Commentary: 4/23/26

Greetings, good morning, good evening, good night fellow P0x'ers -- wherever you are on the globe. Coming at you is another edition of a dose of bitcoin memes with added commentary. Please note that all memes are curated from around the world wide web, with credits going to their original creators -- links will be under the Resources section of this blog post. Please also note that memes are not intended to be financial advice, but I think that you knew that already.

The purpose of this post is to entertain and maybe inform. With all that being said, let's roll those .jpeg's (and maybe a few .png's)...

This one is for the "too late" crowd. In my humble opinion, you can never be too late to a digital asset that is going to infinity. I think of BTC as a savings account that, over the long-term, should continue to rise if the past is any indicator of future performance. Which of course it's not ;) It's a highly volatile and speculative cryptocurrency that started off as a rogue internet project and has been hijacked by the legacy financial system, but the loyal early hodlers continue to push to keep decentralization alive. Which side are you on???

Quietly, BTC is currently returning to 80k. Those who continued to buy on the dip from 120k to 63k may be beginning to see that it was good move. Today, as of this writing, we sit at 77.7k so we shall see if 80k gets reclaimed soon. It seems to always be a case of "time in the market," rather than "timing the market." But what do I know, I'm just a pleb.

Speaking of plebs, this meme comes from 2U2ai for promotion of their AIGC infra layer for Memecoin communities. I haven't personally checked it out yet, nor am I 100% sure what it's all about but they sure do print a good meme.

Evidently, it's become patriotic for Americans to embrace BTC and sell fiat currency? But wait...

The news is a few weeks old. In case you hadn't heard, to circumvent U.S. economic sanctions, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has introduced a mandatory digital asset fee for ships using the Strait of Hormuz. Tankers must pay $1 per barrel in Bitcoin or USDT to obtain passage, with costs reaching up to $2 million per ship. Can you say new world currency???

X user Brandon Quittem @Bquittem came up with the perfect follow-up meme:

Are we back yet??? Maybe this bear market's over, maybe not! I don't do the "crystal ball" writings. I just hodl and watch, and that strategy's worked out pretty well thus far.
