The crypto world is just a small baby, if you think about it. The human race had existed for hundreds of thousands of years during which time it forged history so long and detailed – which makes it impossible to publish it all in a single book. Bitcoin, Ethereum and Idena are part of a much younger “crypto” era, an era so fragile and chaotic that it sort of reminds me of a tiny crying baby. It seems to me that a bottle of warm Idena is all that baby needs to stop crying, and I will tell you why.
When it first appeared more than ten years ago, Bitcoin introduced the new industry standard - and other cryptocurrencies blindly followed the same model. If you want coins, you have to mine. That is called “Proof-of-Work” and it was the only way to do it. You have to buy expensive hardware, build a “rig” and run a piece of mining software on it – hoping it will not crash while you’re asleep. Idena settled this by limiting the time needed to solve “flips”, the fun thing we have that helps us distinguish real humans from bots. The system will give you a fair amount of random old (already used) flips, and you can take your time and solve them. You get two sides - left and right. Flips are designed in a way that ONLY one of those two sides is correct and has meaningful story line from the top to the bottom. Remember this - flips are "read" from the top to the bottom. Your objective is to find the correct sequence, because the other one is meant to trick you, the other one contains no meaningful story in it. It's genious, right? The Idena team has worked so hard in creating this kind of system, and it is the absolute pioneer in the crypto world. There is coin out there which has the same flip system out there among 6K cryptocurrencies. It's something, right?
When I first discovered Idena, I was a bit skeptical, I’ll admit that. Distributing coins to people for keeping a node online as a reward for making and solving “flips” once in a while? It was so strange to me at first, because I got used to the idea of having to invest money in expensive hardware to be able to mine a coin - so I decided to give it a shot. I installed the wallet, got the invitation through Telegram channel, and after my first successful validation – everything changed. I was part of the growing network now. I was actually a real HUMAN node on the network. As you may imagine, it felt marvelous. I remember reading the whitepaper over and over, and I was simply astonished by Idena’s geniality. The idea is to implement cool concepts such as “sharding”, smart contracts, private transactions and the coolest of them all – "a cryptoidentity Sign-In". It has a potential to retire the old Google “Captcha” system because it is far more AI-proof. You may wonder why the f* AI proof system is that important. Let me explain it to you. Analog world is going to long deserved retirement. The era of Internet is at large for a few decades now. Basic human everyday habits and routines are being transferred into the online world. If John wanted to play a game of poker in 1934, he would have to go to casino or organize a couple of his friends, buy beer and snacks. And then, at 21:00 in the evening, John would have played the poker. Today, in 2020 John simply needs to take his smartphone, install one of a hundred poker apps, log in, connect his master or visa card and he is good to go. He can, in a 5 minute time, chose to play against millions of different people around the globe, some of which are not even talking the same language as John. But that is not important because they don't need to. All they have to do is know the basics of poker and have the same desire to play as our little time traveler - John. The reason why I told you this funny story is because John in the 2020 can easily be nonexistent. John may exist, or may not exist. Strange, huh? You see, computer in 2020 can act as John, mimic the same behavioral patterns as John, calculate best poker moves and count odds and percentages and - win and take your last dollar right out of your pocket. Yep, one computer program can totally replace John in 2020. That's in a way the "Artificial Intelligence or simply - AI". Idena solves this, you know. Idena's human verification mechanisms can, in almost real time, distinguish real human John from computer program John. Computer programs can't successfully figure the context of the flips out, and thus, can't solve flips. Idena can prove that someone is a human, with credibility in this new digital world.
