Freedom is a concept that appeals to people of all classes.

Just to clarify, I do not mean whether or not you live in a democracy when I refer to freedom.

Living a free life implies doing what you want (mostly), how you want (mostly), and where you want (mostly), rather than living the life that someone else wants you to.

We are brought up – the entire school system is designed this way – that freedom is not what we should strive for.

This explains why so many people claim that money isn't significant.

Money has properties similar to language and life; it represents society's values and can change into other forms. In general, people have different ideas about what money is and how it functions.

People definitely have different ideas. For some it’s a tool, for others it’s a curse.

Let’s look at these false statements:

“Don't let money rule your entire life!”

 “The source of all evils is money!”

To keep the bill collectors away from their homes, these people work all day long, from morning to sunset.

Work in a job they wish they could leave, because they despise it (and possibly their employer as well).

If “they could” they would leave that job.

If only they had the money. And yet they hate money.

In their case, money would allow them to quit their job.

Money therefore = to freedom!

And if they keep believing having money is a prison, they will never be able to stop working.

So, how do you anticipate yourself to chase after money if you view it negatively?
