Cex is another crypto exchange platform, established in England, London in 2013 and is one of the leading crypto exchanger that offers Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Stellar, Ripple and so on.
But something that concerns us all is the safety of a exchanger, and when it comes to Cex the answer is Yes and No!
Yes!
Cex is registered in US as a Money Services Business in a angency called FinCEN which means they are a registered exchanger and as so you won't wake up one day and see that that page is not loading anymore!
No!
Cex has a protection under level two DSS certificate which means it has a level of security to store and transmit payment data. But, Cex cannot be considered totally secure because as a exchange they are a target for hackers and this is also a reason why we should never store our cryptos in a exchanger.
As always on my reviews I end up my post with pros and cons!
Pros
They offer a various pretty big number of trading pairs and multiple fiat currencies to choose. This means you won't waste money on transfer fees by going to BTC first and than converting it to the desired coin.
Their platform is super easy this is what I love about them! Buying, selling and converting is made super easy which is in favor of beginners but also experienced traders that don't want to waste time.
Client support is superb, you contact them via email and they get back to you really fast!
They offer margin trade options (this means you trade borrowed money which makes it pretty risky and you should avoid if you don't know what you are doing).
It is one of those few exchangers that accept CC (credit cards) and buying crypto or withdrawing back your money is made very easy.
Last but not least fees are standard.
Time to time they have giveaways or other very good buying deals!
Cons
You won't be finding all the cryptocurrencies in there, sure thing that won't be possible but I think it is a downside since there are some very popular coins that they don't have in their stores.
Because of the history we should always be cautious of the hackers attacks on the exchangers, thus we should find other places to store our valued cryptos.
Personal experience!
Been trading with them for about 4 years and everytime everything went smooth. I'd give them 7/10 and that's just because they're not offering a huge variety of cryptos!
Let me know what you think about Cex.io
theatdhe!
