Chantal and Isis want to live.

Chantal is a young woman here from the village and this is her story in short. Due to hEDS and several neck accidents, Chantal's neck was so damaged that she could not wear her head anymore. Because of this she got neurological symptoms, so she was severely handicapped and there was no future for her.
In order to be able to save her life Chantal Wil Leven Foundation was founded and so her life-saving surgery could be paid for. On June 15, 2020 she got her second chance at life.
At the end of September she unfortunately got an unexpected complication, she could turn her head. Her fusion was still good, but her fused cervical vertebrae turned over the upper dorsal vertebra. Therefore, her neck was further fixed until the 2 upper dorsal vertebrae on October 16, 2020.
Chantal is doing well but the misery starts again from scratch now it appears that her daughter Isis of 14 also inherited the disease. She also has to have surgery and also now the Dutch health insurance will not reimburse anything. Unfortunately Isis needs an extra operation because of the main arteries. This operation alone costs 120K and after that another one has to follow. At the time of writing there is more than 12K for the operation. Every euro is very welcome.
