Step 1: Options for more Savings

Due to Covid 19, I can't get out of the country.

But neither am I spending a lot due to Covid, cos I am at home most of the time. Won't be spending on transport or entertainment.

And I have time to plan what's next.

Here are a few;

- a friend invited me to Australia to experience farm life. This means I can just do exercise and live healthy for a few mths.
- Co-working space at the beach. Always has been my plan to stay near the beach for a while. From this list, it just looks so good
(nearest, cheapest and still looks really good will be - TaoHub
- Discover a list of countries where you can live comfortably for $1,000.
Sri Lanka looks good to me since it is near and clean. Followed by Bolivia, Romania and Peru. All looks interesting.

A lifestyle in co-working place;
- Rental $400-$800
- Food $100
- Transport $25
- Travel - $500 ( in case I want to travel to local places)
- Insurance $400 (It's a pity, I haven't got the courage to dispose this as it will only be even more expensive as we aged).
Total: from $1,325/mth

Living in Malaysia is another long-term choice.

A 2story house is only less about $300,000. And according to my friend, I can just rent it for only $800/mth. Its big enough to plan your own garden. My friends in Malaysia have their seeds prepared and ready to create their own farm before hyperinflation kicks in. According to them, vege grews easily in Malaysia fertile land.  So other than cooking, the next skill to have will be to plan some food.

A lifestyle in Malaysia can look like this
- Rental $800
- Food $100
- Electricity, Water & Wifi $40
- Transport $25
- Insurance $400
Total: $1,365/mth

WOW! That really makes retirement easy in Malaysia.

Looking at the above, I think I will just rent out my place when it's ready, build a passive income of $2,000/mth and travel for two years. Take out $12,000 for my parents per year while I travel. And that's it!

Life Skills

Cooking at home

And she is also the one who shared that she used to eat outside and it would easily cost $5x5= $25 per meal. If we take 2 meals a day outside, it would have easily cost $1,500.

A nice breakfast, with coffee (from coffee machine), scramble eggs and tomatoes.

Farming at home

My cousin Peggy rare chicken, and she has enough eggs daily for her family of 5 and extra to offer to her neighbour. Wow, that's like $2 - $5 per week easily.

Hair Cut

My other cousin Doreen learn how to cut hair as an apprentice before she goes to college.

And for the last 10 years, she has been cutting hair for people around her, including herself, and her 3 kids. If I take the average of $10 per hair cut x 4 of them, every month or 2 months, she saves $40 easily. Well, she even cut for me and it looks like a $50 haircut.
