3 days ago I was watching the 2020 Berkshire Hathaway meeting in the Yahoo! Finance TV.
Warren Buffet also known as "The Oracle of Omaha" every year does a speech at this meeting. Normally the event is full of people but this time it wasn't due to coronavirus lockdown.
One of the main conclusions and advices he gave was the following:
NEVER BET AGAINST AMERICA
She explained that the United States of America did really well since its foundation, and know has become one of the wealthiest countries in the world. So in the long term, it doesn't make much sense to bet agains an asset that is overperforming the market during a long period of time.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies
This statement has many analogies with Bitcoin. The king of crypto, in terms of price, adoption and development, has already been outperforming the market for more than 10 years.
It doesn't make much sense to think that it will change in the near future if it is not for some major issue. For example, people could have regulatory concerns, but BTC will always be accessible and tradable. For now, doesn't seem that people care at all about this.
Any kind of attack or major issue in the blockchain could happen, but it doesn't feel that is going to happen in the most trusted protocol.
From an investor point of view, the cost of opportunity of not taking part in this crypto journey is HUGE. Almost all of the portolios should have, at least in my opinion, a small amount of crypto in them.
My statment today, 5 of May of 2020, 3 years after I was involved in crypto for the first time, is the following:
NEVER BET AGAINST BITCOIN
Don't tell me I didn't warn you in 3 more years. Take the time to research, read and understand the properties of this new technology. And after this invested time, tell me that this is not one of the greatest inventions of humanity.
