What are The Religions Exactly???!!
to be honest the first thought that came to my mind is to google the definition of the religion - pretty cliche I know 🤣-, but bear with me for a second here, google says - based on the oxford languages - the following definition of religion:
1- the belief in and worship of a superhuman power or powers, especially a God or gods.
2- a particular system of faith and worship.
3- a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance.
now all these definitions are true " most of the time ", but not always if you want to combine them together & say that every religion have all these features included altogether.!!! - you would ask why🤔-, well mainly because not every religion actually have God or gods & not every religion is pursuing an interest to be related to something greater, but the main thing that most religions actually agrees on, is having a pretty much particular system of faith & worship even if the idea of the system itself is liberating in every way, that is still a system & a framework of mind which will be building decisions & sometimes life decisions based on eventually.
What I want to say to you is this, Google was actually right - dah 😑 - religion has actually three mains definition in which any religion will be built on, but google was wrong in the definitions itself, & I will tell you the real 3 definitions, - from a personal & shared perspective -
1- The Myth
2- The Ideologies & Tenets
3- The Rituals
Now That is Something more understandable & we will all agree that every religion on this earth from the beginning of human history has those - off course there is always exceptions, especially now a days, I mean honestly what is scientology all about folks 😅-
- Now first to explain myself a little bit in order not to make anyone feel uncomfortable, A Myth doesn't mean that it's not real
A Myth means - Again by Google itself "Oxford" 😇 -: a traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people
in other words, it means a tale spread & published by people mainly - not only🙄 - because there weren't Conclusive evidence to proof the story 100% by historians or scholars.
- Secondly is The Ideologies & Tenet & Principles, now every religion - whether we want to admit it or not {just think about the following words closely but don't take them from a misleading or an incitement attempt point of view whether from me or from the religion itself} - so I was saying that every religion tries to abide you by a strict way of thinking and a pre-established opinions & thoughts & principles to have your mind to work in a certain framework. - again, when you think closely enough this is not an attempt of incitement - just think about the words I said carefully & you will understand what I'm talking about & I will explain this point in a very detailed way in the future.
- The Rituals Part I guess is a very obvious part, because it represents a series of routine acts to perform hourly / daily / weekly / monthly / whenever you like🤣 /.... etc. to feel - or to try to feel🙄 - the manifestation of love & loyalty & pride &...&...etc. within yourself to the religion & to the one or ones or things or concepts you believe in.
This Was an introduction maid by me (80%) & google (5%) & oxford languages dictionary (10%) & X-Anonymous (5%)
I gave google the 5% just for being the middleman to the definitions aren't I a good Samarian 😇
