I try to have a positive outlook in life. I've been clinically depressed at times and I know how easy it is to spiral down in to a depression. To avoid this, I tried to be positive, I try not to look back but to look forward and count the blessings that I have in my life. But there is one thing that I truly regret and also worry about- why didn't I invest in Bitcoin all those years ago when it was so cheap? and also Have I missed the boat in gaining financial freedom and independence.
Everything is always very clear in hindsight. I do actually remember looking into Bitcoin and other crypto currencies about 8 years ago. I think, but I am not completely sure, that I may even have got hold of some sort of crypto currency- I can't really remember which but I think it may have been Litecoin- it certainly wasn't alot. I have no idea of the wallet address and though I think I recorded the seed phrase on a piece of paper, that paper has been lost in the midst of the move caused by the divorce and then move abroad. I know I still have a number of boxes up in my parent's loft and so that piece of paper may be there but I can't be certain and as I still can't leave China because of the border restrictions. The last time I was able to visit the UK was 2 years ago but hopefully when things return to normal I get back and check if that paper can be found.
But I have a choice to either keep looking backwards and regretting or to move forward and do the best I can. I have started to my crypto journey definitely now. I appreciate the importance of keeping the seed phrase and records together and so I am looking to get a hard wallet at some point. I did a couple of days ago but it's difficult to order a Trezor to be delivered here as I only have Chinese credit cards and they allow orders from abroad unless they are linked to a Chinese id because of custom checks. I can either get my wife to order it or I can wait to get one when I return to the UK for a holiday.
I read forecasts of Bitcoin reaching up to $100,000 by the end of the year. My aim is to try and get 0.3 BTC by the end of the year but I know it's going to be hard to do that. I worry that I have left it too late and I won't reach that target but I know that anything is better than nothing and so I keep trying, keep saving, and hoping that the price doesn't explode any further until I have reached my 0.3 target. In the meantime I have also started looking and buying some other coins- ADA, XRP and ETH to start with. Again they are not large amounts but I will keep adding what I can until I have about 500 in ADA and XRP and 1 ETH. lTC is another one I am considering but I would welcome any suggestions as well to research and find out about. The cheaper the better with the expectation that they can really grow lol.
