Last Friday afternoon I decided to go out to shop. It was ten days from the last time.
I was aware that I would have found a long queue outside the shopping center.
Cause of Coronavirus outbreak it is not possible to enter all together. There is a vigilant out of the entry, who take account of the numbers, ins and outs.
I proceeded to dress.
It is from the beginning of the emergency that I choose a t-shirt, a shirt, a pair of trousers, a jacket, a scarf a cap and shoes.
Every time I go outside I always take that dresses, always the same. When I come back I put them in the washing machine, preparing them for the next shopping blitz.
Last, but not least, I put on latex gloves and a musk.
I have chosen trousers and shirt with many pockets. One pocket for the wallet. One pocket for the phone. One pocket for backup gloves. One pocket for pocket disinfectant. One pocket for the coin to get the shopping cart. One pocket for wipes with which I will clean the shopping cart. One pocket for the shopping list and the pen. Another pocket for the compiled form I have to bring with me to eventually show it to the police in case of control.
Nowadays the pockets are always not sufficient to go out to shop.
When I arrived in the parking I saw the queue. There was almost 30 persons waiting for: more or less from half to one hour to wait for me.
I took my shopping cart and drove it to the end of queue, paying attention to remain at almost 2-3 meters. I know, authorities have said almost one meters, but I prefer to overdo it.
In such circumstances one must be patient. I had to wait even if it is not so simple to wait for the time to pass. So I observed: the cars parked in front of the shopping centers, people arriving and going, the trees slightly moved by a light wind, the notices written in marker on white sheets pinned on the walls and so on and the people in the queue.
But at a certain moment my attention was kept, very surprising, by a figure reflected in a shop window.
For some very long seconds I was not able to realize that the masked person looking at me was me.
For a short but very long moment I was asking to me: Who is that man?
