I went to add funds to my Coinbase Visa card this morning and noticed "advanced" trading options on the regular "vanilla" Coinbase site.
The new option adds the ability to set limit orders, but not stop orders as found on the Coinbase Pro site. The fees were identical fees to Coinbase Pro.
I put in 3 purchases to compare.
Purchase .005 BTC at current market price ($38,089)
Coinbase Pro: $191.40+ $0.95 fee
Coinbase with "advanced trading" option selected: $191.40+ $0.95 fee
Coinbase with normal "trade" function: $191.40+ $2.99 fee
So, using advanced trading on Coinbase lowers the fees to Coinbase Pro rates with limited options. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just migrate all the Pro functions and keep it under the Trade toggle to appease those who prefer the simpler trading option. As it is now, I would probably use the advanced trading option to purchase crypto as it eliminates the extra steps of moving money from Coinbase to Coinbase Pro, making a purchase, then transferring back to Coinbase to stake or hold.
