New Year Resolutions (NYR)  And How They Fail.

2023 is around the corner and people are waiting for New year to make New Year Resolutions. We are left with only 21 days to arrive at the highly anticipated New Year Resolution (NYR).

Not too many people keep to the NYR.  Come December 31st and they put crosses to all the items they never achieved.  A smoker is a good example in this quest.  Item number one on the NYR may be to stop smoking.  Come end year and this is the first item to cross out for having not achieved it.  In fact he did increase his smoking with some packets.

Why Do The New Year Resolutions(NYR) Fail?

There are many reasons as to why we fail in our New Year Resolutions. One of the greatest of the reasons is because we set too high goals in our resolutions.  You cannot set a resolution of building up the biggest Cryptocurrency empire of more than 2000 Bitcoin when you have savings of less than 1 Bitcoin in your wallet and your earnings are few cents in Ethereum and Ampleforth in publishox.  One has to stick to his means in resolution making.

You may fail miserably in your resolutions if you do not plot a strategy of how to achieve the goals.  Make a one year goal but divide it into 12 monthly short term goals. Do the same by dividing the monthly goals into 52 weekly goals.  You can go further and divide them into daily,  hourly and even minutely goals.  With these divisions,  you will be able to work out on the resolutions hour after hour and wind it up at the end of the year.

People fail on their resolutions because they do not tone their attitude with the goals set.  Attitude scores one hundred percent towards our success.  If the attitude is bad then you are prone to fail.

There are many more other factors which may make one to not achieve their resolutions which one needs to research on.

Are Resolutions Punishments?

Resolutions are not punishment to the one making them.  They are not but are just measures to make the person a better person.  Resolutions are there to ensure that we are successful in our endeavours.  It is to ensure we get the most of whatever we want to do.

Don’t make goals arbitrarily. If you don’t want your determination to wane, set goals that align with your values and have personal significance — whether it’s January 1 or not.
