From the Depths, We Rise
The sky turned blue like a river of sorrow,
and rain fell softly into the endless night.
We stand at the edge of a forgotten hollow,
waiting for the dawn to awaken its light.
Either we walk with the shadow of endings,
or with a heart that refuses to fall.
For even the deepest and darkest of abysses,
cannot silence the hope inside us all.
We are the souls that the storms could not conquer,
the flames that survived every cold winter’s breath.
Though buried beneath the silence of darkness,
we carry a promise stronger than death.
Like Joseph who waited inside the deep well,
with faith as his lantern, with patience his guide.
We know every night has a secret tomorrow,
and every lost river will reach the tide.
If the world builds walls around our dreams,
we will carve a doorway through stone.
For the heart that is filled with love and mercy,
will never truly remain alone.
Let the rain fall upon our wounded spirits,
let the thunder speak across the sky.
We are not the ashes left by the fire,
we are the phoenix learning to fly.
The darkness may cover the road before us,
the winds may challenge the strength we hold.
But souls that are guided by love and courage,
will rise again brighter than gold.
So if this life is a well without sunlight,
and the heavens above us turn gray.
We will become the stars of the midnight,
and create our own morning from the clay.
The sky may be covered in endless sorrow,
the rain may fall where our broken hearts lie.
But we are the dreamers who rise from the depths,
with love as our wings, and hope as our sky.
