I hope I regret writing that title at the end of the year when the KickToken ecosystem is officially released.

On February 10, I found a new token with an OCD relaxing amount in my wallet valued at $662. As any responsible crypto holder would do, I made sure there were no take-backsies. I clicked on over to my go-to exchange, KuCoin, and looked it up. It was listed and actively traded. Getting the QR code set up and scanning it on my phone, I sent all of it.

Error.

Hmm. I'll try it again, slowly. Error message again. Something's up; I did it slowly this time; it can't be my fault.

Finally, I did what everyone in my situation should do first, research.

I searched for the official site first. A lot of ambiguous mumbo jumbo. Nothing concrete as far as what it is and what it is intended to do. Scanning through the never-ending charts, I tried to look for where they are. Nothing.

A legitimate company will instill trust by readily introducing who they are, where they are, and what they do. In this case, you won't find that anywhere until the end of their white paper.

From what I can tell, their structure seems like another pyramid scheme.

I won't bore you anymore, so here's the deal from what I found out searching the internets.

1. The CEO and founder is Anti A. Danilevski. Most, if not all, of the KickToken team, is based in Russia.
2. They have an office in Singapore, but it looks like it's just a front. Their registration says they only have a paid-up capital of $5000.
3. They launched at the end of 2017 at 24 cents. It took a dump from there. As of this writing, it was trading at .00017091.
4. Here is the "kicker," they payout commissions depending on where on the hierarchy you are.
5. They have an "exchange," but it's on beta, and you have to consent to a Non-Disclosure Agreement. F that.
6. It’s a scam. Ignore that airdrop and hide the coin if you want.
7. Here's the most significant "kick" in the nuts; if you live in the US, you are expected to pay taxes on them.
8. Do not sign-up for anything, including their beta’s. You will have to give out your personal information.

I don’t know why KuCoin has this listed. I’ll still trade with them but I won’t look at their listings as gospel.
