The Maze to Raise. 🚀

Our Story so far…

The last few years have been dominated by technology advances and in particular, the growth of blockchain and the positive effects that it could potentially have for the whole world.

Almost 2 years ago, we studied in detail the prospects and the levels of power technology can reach and came up with an idea based on our own successful experience within the financial industry. That’s how Raise was born.

Combining our vision of the product and our skills, we decided to implement a technology that we hadn’t experimented with in the past: blockchain.

Building a project from an initial idea was never going to be easy. After introducing the initial white paper to the world through Hero Token, we were overwhelmed by the response of those who found themselves drawn to our idea and what we wanted to do to change the world.

So we created a strategy that we felt would fit everyone. Our executive team, our future business, our newly formed community and all Hero Token holders.

We knew that we had to get things just right.

So we raised the team from the ground. With our founder willing to move countries to make this project work, he explored options of cities from across the globe that would be perfect to attract the best talent for the initial Raise team.

Inspiration was found during the discovery of what Barcelona, Spain had to offer. Technology is at the core of this cities growth and the blockchain community is growing daily. We knew that if we based our tech hub here, we could bring in an ultimate team of technology wizards and build this project successfully.

Now we currently stand strong with 14 humans and 1 dog. The best of the best that Barcelona has to offer regarding developers, designers and marketers. Our plans going forward involve increasing this team as our product grows and complimenting them with additional staff including expert business developers. Hermes the dog is our current ‘Head of Staff Happiness’ and he is paid with dog food, hugs and walks.

This team has taken us to the next level.

When we initially dreamed up the idea, we thought it would take 3–5 years to execute a soft launch. Due to the sheer ability, drive, passion and belief of our team, we have achieved that target today.

Despite certain challenges, we managed to get to this point ahead of schedule and we are proud of this achievement.

It’s been built on all of our shared core values. Transparency, Innovation, and Growth. We have so much more to learn together and we have developed both personally and professionally in such a short space of time.

Your money, your rules 💰- Where we are now!

After our BETA launch for lenders in August, we have improved on several factors and are now able to introduce the fully developed ‘live marketplace’ that lenders and borrowers can use. Today is the first real step to changing the future of finance.

Now we have a DeFI product available and workable on both desktop and mobile versions. A user-friendly encounter that allows both borrowers and lenders to unite in our unique crowdfunding experience!

Running smoothly with browsers including Firefox, Chrome amongst others, being fully integrated with MetaMask and receiving Smart contract results that were so impressive, we know that this launch is going to excite those who try us out!

Borrowers and lenders have complete control over how they wish to use their money on our platform. It’s simple, borrowers can specify the amount that they need, the maximum interest that they are willing to pay and they can request it. It will then be stored onto the Ethereum blockchain.

Then the dutch auction begins…

From today, lenders can commit to what they want to put towards each borrower request. They don’t need to fund the whole request and they can even make their decision based on looking at any information given in the borrowers' profile! Loans are then filled and ready to be repaid based on the terms previously set. Everything is transparent and easy to follow!

It’s taken some time to get to where we are now, but this is only the start!

We will be regularly reviewing our product and ensuring its successful growth in line for a hard launch. We have planned strategies to ensure that all users can provide valuable feedback that allows us to regularly improve on what we are doing.

As with all successful tech products, we will be making regular changes to focus on ensuring that we are the real innovators in our industry. We will be working on our website, our marketing strategy, borrower acquisition and tech improvements on a daily basis. Transparency is key and we will also work on a second roadmap to be released, now that our previous has been fulfilled.
