By RobSpitz | Raise | 30 Jan 2020

We all can grow professionally and personally every single day. The blockchain industry is still relatively new and can change on an hourly basis. Here at RaiseHQ, all staff members are encouraged to stay up to date with what is going on and now, we want to share our top 5 blogs to help you grow too.

Bankless

Bankless is the ultimate guide to the money revolution. Ethereum, Bitcoin, Open-finance, and DeFI are all covered in this blog. The focus is quality over quantity and every time it's updated, it gives you the opportunity to learn and grow from the authors' learnings. Each week, there is a 'Weekly Action recap' which provides you with what is coming up this week and what you should have learned last week. The content helps a variety of people within the crypto world and we feel it should be mandatory to read for all engineers in our industry.

One of our engineers, David, has even signed up to their newsletter subscription:

"When I first discovered the blockchain industry, I was compelled by the opportunities it has to offer and I knew that I could learn a lot of new skills with this technology. I am now an avid crypto enthusiast and follower and my learnings from the Bankless blog has helped me think differently and action my work with a fresh approach"

Week In Ethereum News

Week in Ethereum news is a MUST read for the developers of our industry. It covers everything that you NEED to know within the Ethereum world. For our engineers, they are able to track very technical aspects of what happened last week regarding eth1, eth2, Layer2, Enterprise, Governance and so much more. This means that each week, with all the changes that are happening within our industry, they are always prepared. It also provides valuable information as to the upcoming dates of node and any major changes you need to be aware of.

Pol, one of our software engineers, starts every Monday morning preparing his week by taking in this information:

"As Raise is built on the ECR20 protocol, it's important that we know what is going on with all the coding specifics. Unlike other projects, were completely prepared for MakerDAO's launch of multi-collateral DAI on the backend and it was because we used Week in Ethereum News to stay up to date with the latest news and upcoming changes."

Blockchain.WTF

A bit different than the other two, Blockchain.WTF is the best place to start to help you 'newbies' to the industry. It offers you in-depth help on all the basics of blockchain and the crypto world. It helps people learn and grow together while gamifying elements into a fun quiz. We've included this blog on this list as it helps people from all stages of their blockchain knowledge development. Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced learners have the chance to find out absolutely everything they need to within the blockchain industry.

Our Marketing intern, Andrea, loves this site:

"Before joining Raise, I had very limited knowledge of blockchain and what the technology can do. Our team is very collaborative and I knew that I would be listening to some very technical information that I might not understand. Thanks to this blog, I have been able to learn the basics in a fun way and I always feel that I am learning more and more each day"

Reddit - Ethereum Channel

Ok, this isn't necessarily a blog but we're including it in this list because it really has helped the team overall. Following the Ethereum community is valuable for all the team at RaiseHQ and so we wanted to include this in our list. Reddits channel covers everything and it allows like-minded people to comment and share useful material. This helps our team know exactly what is going on in the Ethereum world externally and opens up the office for in-depth discussions.

Daniel, one of our engineers, checks out reddit at least 3 times a day:

"You just don't know what you might find every time you browse this channel. It helps me understand the market and what I need to do to improve the back end of Raise. I find that this channel gives me the opportunity to improve my skillset at times when I would usually be browsing other social media. I'm learning without realising it!"

Blockchain.news

This blog focuses on the more media-centric news that comes out of the blockchain industry. It feels like you are reading a normal online newspaper but all the content is focused on what is happening each day within the blockchain world. This is incredibly useful if you are interested in other projects, what regulations are being implemented by governments and how major firms are adapting to the technology. You also get the low-down on the upcoming events happening across the globe that may interest you.

Our Marketing Manager, Rob, browses this daily:

"When I first joined Raise, I needed to know what was going on away from our project. As I joined the business very early on in its development, lots of new rules and regulations were taking place and we'd just entered a 'crypto winter'. I wanted to find news to share with our community to show that we are excited about what opportunities are coming with blockchain. Since then, I have become addicted. I can't wait to browse the latest stories and see what changes are coming that could affect us in the long term future."

Without these blogs, we would not be where we are today. Raise is growing and our first borrowers are now live. Sign up today and browse through the opportunities to suit your potential investment.
