Fairly soon after I got into the crypto game, I discovered the joys of earning free crypto. I have faithfully been active on a few sites with Publish0x being the first. I was quickly accepted as a writer and we continue to have a fruitful relationship. Second came Cointiply, who I am also delighted with and then CoinPayU (now rebranded as RewardJoy, but I am going to call it by its original name throughout this article) and DutchyFaucet.

I am almost as delighted with Cointiply as I am with P0x and satisfied with DutchyFaucet which is a bit of a slow burner, but does offer the greatest range of free assets to claim. However, as you can see from the title it is CoinPayU that is my focus for today.

For a long time I was receiving between $0.08 and $0.10 (USD) per day and this was satisfactory. I seemed unable to qualify for surveys and on the one occasion I did I almost got my points up to achieve Level 2, only to see them get wiped out and I had to start again. I understand this if the points are readily available to achieve a higher tier (eg, while not exactly the same Reward Points on Bing). This is not the case on CoinPayU. Doing the PTC ads just does not cut it.

I could live with this while I was returning for my efforts the $0.08 and $0.10 (USD) per day that I mentioned above. However in recent months it has dropped down to between $0.005 and $0.02 (USD) per day and some days nothing. Furthermore as I discovered earlier in the week they have raised their withdrawal threshold from $1.00 to $5.00 (USD), which means even withdrawing at minimal levels it will take almost 3 years to achieve such a level (1000 days @$0.005 per day) and frankly I am asking whether it is really worth it.

Faucets and micro-reward sites are slow, but that is too much even to overcome its two main attractions, namely that it is free, but also we have an eye on a future value of the assets we acquire because that which is only valued at a single cent today may well be worth 50 cents in five years time. 

So, it's probably the time to dump CoinPayU and no rebranding with change that and especially if there is no Joy in the Rewards they are paying out (did you see what I did there?) :D
