Donald Trump is a master of international diplomacy and what he has done he has done with a certain amount of finese and even eloquence. To use a hyperbole, just as he tends to, nobody in the entire history of the world has ever managed to achieve what he has in the last year. Let's just take a few minutes to take stock of what he has achieved and how he has managed to do it.
We have to start of course with Zelenskyy's dressing down in the White House. Trump berates him because he doesn't hold all the cards and is messing with World War 3 in a war of aggression in which he and Ukraine are on the receiving end of Russian aggression. He may not have been holding many cards but come a year later there is no country in the world better equipped to stop drones than Ukraine. Trump has built a case against Ukraine that is not only unfair and immoral but factually completely incorrect and in doing so he has completely flipped the narrative and even go as far as to suggest that Russia should feel free to “do whatever the hell they want” to Europe if they don’t pay up.

Now we have moved into Europe we can see how, Mr President, the ungrateful Europeans within NATO are refusing to get involved in the pointless war you have started after spending years insulting us and calling us weak. Mr President, you have frequently described NATO as obsolete and even went as far as to claim that other than American soldiers they didn't actually fight in Afghanistan, but they hovered safely in the background somewhere.
Then, when Canada stands up to you and thwarts your megalomaniac and imperialist demands you threaten another friendly NATO country, Denmark, with the possibility that the United States might just take Greenland by force, which tends to make the Danes feel less than eager about cooperation.
To add insult to injury you you impose tariffs on European steel, aluminum, cheese, wine, and probably the occasional French baguette just to keep the conversation lively and then the tariffs are ruled unconstitutional, you levy new ones -- even on countries that negotiated trade deals or actively negotiating.
Relationships established, Mr Trump now it is time for some reciprocation.
“Hey fellas, how about sending your navy to help protect the Strait of Hormuz in my war with Iran?” you say.
I must note your strategy is outstanding to the point of sheer naked brilliance. Start by insulting everyone and then ask for help in a war you claim to have already won.
A diplomatic masterclass.
You say European nations should assist in protecting the vital shipping lane because, after all, they depend heavily on Middle Eastern oil and while this is true we are collectedly baffled as to why you need us. If NATO is useless, our defence spending pathetic, and our soldiers hiding behind your troops, why do you NEED us?
We don't feeling particularly inclined. Let's remember only that uniquely only the US has called on NATO's Article 5, a call to collective defence, in the light of 9/11. Where were you during the Falklands conflict? Let's remember Mr President that it is you who has attacked us, at least in word if not in deed (as yet). It wasn't only Denmark / Greenland but you got deeply personal when you said that the UK Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer is"no Winston Churchill." (To which, a retired a British general said over the weekend, "Trump is no Franklin Roosevelt.").
And still you expect this weak pathetic, obsolete alliance - your words I remind you - to help the almighty that is your America.
Don't get me wrong it might just be possible that we Europeans are simply slow at grasping the subtle, stable genius of your foreign policy. Or maybe, after years of being called freeloaders, we are waiting to see if you to tariff our warships once they arrive. Either way, we stand in awe of your boldness as you redefine the world order and usher in the birth of a new diplomatic doctrine.

Trump has indeed brought in new era and now I would like to cast your mind back to header picture I have used today. Which one is the real Donald Trump, I ask.
I think we know and I think many will stand behind me when I say that he should just get the f**k out of here!
As always stay safe and well my friends in these increasingly dangerous times.
