A couple of days ago I was browsing on the internet and I know some have accused me of suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, but surely even the blind can see how far he has lost the plot and I really don't understand how anybody with any sense of reason can still align with him. Probably he went too far when he posted the Jesus image several months ago; I still don't really understand how MAGA and the Christian Right buy this because surely by any definition of Christianity it is blasphemous. This time he is cultivating an image of himself as a great American general and specifically McArthur and Patton. At the height of his power Hitler declared himself to be the greatest military genius ever and this seems to be a direct comparison. Not everybody is religious, so some will take or leave it when it comes to Jesus which is why I think this is an even more dangerous comparison, but to compare himself to such respected military leaders...
I am not saying that he generated the above image himself, it is highly probable that he doesn't have the skills, but the fact that he continuously propagandises such imagery that is only focused on self-aggrandization on Truth Social says a lot about the man himself and his constant need for overenlarging himself.
Some might think that it’s “unfair” to compare Donald Trump to Hitler because of the atrocities committed during WWII against Jewish people and the rest of the world.
Obviously, Trump hasn’t gone that far, but at the same time it is worth remembering that Hitler didn’t start out by invading Poland and carrying out the Holocaust, either.
Unhinged, mentally unstable egomaniacs with long lists of psychotic issues who rise to positions of power, such as Trump and Hitler, don’t start out as unhinged, mentally unstable, and psychotic as they ultimately become. It is a process that, over time, as they continue pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with, spirals further and further toward what they eventually turn into.
Trump didn’t start out as a president ranting about Greenland, attacking Venezuela, starting a war with Iran, suing his own government for billions to enrich himself and his allies, sending the National Guard into multiple cities across the country, and pushing for some level of American imperialism around the globe.
I do believe that he was always a horrible person with severe mental issues.It is worth mentioning at this point an interview that John Bishop did with Richard Branson in the UK several years ago. When asked what his impressions were of Trump after meeting him, Branson said that he found him to be extremely disturbing. Branson has always prided himself on being a nice guy, but according to his own word what shocked him was Trump's sheer malice. Dare to disagree or go against him and he will destroy you - is what Branson recalled with shock before adding that disagreement is inevitable and especially in business, but to go further and to wish somebody's destruction is something else.
Just this week Trump said that if negotiations fail with Iran that he will bring terror to the country. His words not mine. Only totalitarians and terrorists (hence their label) use such language.
Trump is a Sith Lord!
Looking back, his first presidency, compared to what we’ve seen since he returned to the White House last year, was relatively “sane” (and I use that word lightly). The difference being that he actually had quite a few qualified, legitimate adults in his first administration. One of his security advisors at that time was described as a hawk, but comparatively, in the light of what is happening now, he was a dove. A more apt comparison, since John Bolton has long departed is to compare his first Secretary of Defence, the highly respected Marine General Jim Mattis, a four-star general who served this nation for over four decades to Pete Hegseth, a woman-abusing, alcoholic adulterer who was working as a host on Fox News before becoming sixth in line for the presidency.
And remember that it was on his watch that the Defence Department changed its name to the War Department. Semantics some might say, but there is a lot in a name.
While I didn't always agree with Trump's choices during his first stint in the White House, I would take nearly all of them right this second to replace most of the unqualified clowns he currently has in key positions of power and influence. Incidentally, he had a higher turnover of close staff first time round which actually says something about their integrity, even if we disagree with their views. The only high-profile person who was forced out was Elon Musk and that was more about the clash of personalities. Too alphas going at it, one needs to go.
The truth is that the more Trump gets away with his s**t, the more unhinged, deranged, and dangerous he’ll become. Funny how he is joking (not) about a third term right in the face of the constitution as a way to soften up the American Electorate (not that their vote is the deciding matter - that's down to the Electoral College). Furthermore he is creating a pseudo-legitimacy, when challenged about not running for a third term that will sound like-
"I wanted to but the wouldn't let me. The dumocrats [his term not mine] have denied me the chance to run again as President of this great country"
MAGA will lap it up and make 6th January look like a peaceful demonstration if he is denied.
Yet another example of everything that is wrong is the shameless corruption. While it was present during his first presidency, it was not even close to what we've seen during Trump 2.0. He's now literally trying to monetise what amounts to selling insider trading to banks and trading firms by charging $100,000 a month for early access to "market-moving posts" from the President of the United States, giving them the ability to profit from announcements that can move markets.
Will he ever become “just like Hitler”? We’ll never know, because it won’t get to that point. Not only is he too old, but as of now, the US still has mechanisms to prevent that from happening. Please also bear in mind that when comparing I haven't really gone too far into his Foreign Policy. What we need is for people to stand up for what is right. Bernie Sanders is not enough on his own and it might be worth looking for Mike Pence, because while he was very much shoulder to shoulder with Trump during his first presidency he did what was right when it mattered.
But this idea that you can’t compare the two is BS. I’m not saying today’s Trump is “just like Hitler.” What I am saying is that Trump is following a similar path to other unhinged, power-hungry fascist madmen who all shared the same dangerous, sick, and mentally unstable traits — one of whom was Hitler. So, is Trump “just like Hitler”?
No! — but he’s Hitler-adjacent.
And here’s the simple truth for Republicans: He’s a hell of a lot more like Hitler than he is Ronald Reagan.
There is some food for thought. Wake up America
