Thanks to MiCA and CLARITY our ability to stake StableCoin has been rug-pulled from under us. Until December it was at the core of my "never be in deficit again approach, but thanks to the new legislation I have effectively been left with a lot of stagnating USDC. Well, that's not actually true. I bought a lot of BitCoin quite close to what is currently the bottom market price - we will see if that was a wise decision in the months to come. It isn't quite holding and I am down probably about 5% on what I paid, but for now I can sustain that especially because I have other asssets which should in the longer term bounce back.
If BitCoin hits the projected $170K by then end of the year I will be quids in, but a lot has happened since that projection was made, so we will have to wait and see.
Anyway, thus far, I have not touched on the point of my article and while it will not replace StableCoin staking it will act as a partial mitigation of the loss?
Any idea what I am talking about?
Cointiply!
Cointiply offer rewards in their own coins which are literally "token tokens" if you follow what I mean. They have no intrinsic value of their own, but they are tied tightly to the dollar, with 10,000 Coins being $1.00. Furthermore once your held balance reaches 35,000 Coins an automatic 5% APY kicks in.
So, while it is not actually a StableCoin, it basically operates in the same way; only it is "stakeable" on their internal system.
I have been with Cointiply for six years and have never lost any Coins during the withdrawal process so I would go as far as to say they are safe. Coins can be withdrawn as, Dash, Doge, BitCoin or LiteCoin. I actually thought USDC was possible too, but it seems not.
Now, I am not recommending that you upload currency there, rather that you build up some reserves. I am currently achieving 800 Coins a day through very little effort and have updated my strategy slightly by joining the Rain Pool (a chat room where you just have to click to qualify and leave a message after viewing a single PTC) as often as possible.
Furthermore, with Solana now looking like it is taking the lead over LiteCoin in my race, I am going to hold on to my Cointiply Coins until the last possible minute (when Solana is about to cross the line or when LiteCoin can) to maximise my "staked" contribution.
Why not give it a whirl?
