From time to time I feel that my Publish0x experience is unique and please note this is not a criticism of the the platform nor its admins. Those of you who read my posts know that I have absolute respect for everything P0x and incidentally this month marks my six year anniversary of joining the platform.
However, back to the anomalies. You may recall the problems I had with the publishing approval window being greyed out so I couldn't tick the little boxes and the little grab icon that got in the way of me being able to tick the boxes. I seem to remember there was another issue, but I can't recall off the top of my head what it was.
So the anomaly I want to highlight today is the Drafts element of the "My Posts". For some reason whenever I click on My Posts it always goes to Drafts first (this is fine btw) and I have noticed that I literally have dozens (maybe even hundreds of draft articles) usually titled "Untitled". Obviously this comes down to the autosave facility, but I am surprised that once you hit the publish button that it doesn't automatically delete (or transfer to published) any associated draft version. Assuming it is not just me, and given the volume of authors on here, it must clog up the system somewhat and use a lot of system resources.

I am bringing it to the attention of the site admins as an update might help reduce costs - for both their benefit and the community as a whole.
What I am doing personally to address this is, rather than to hit Create a New Post, is to go back into drafts and use an old draft. I did start deleting some old drafts, but decided it was going to take too much time (there are so many) and that is why I changed my approach. As a result I am steadily working back and it might take me several months or even a year to clear them. Funnily enough whenever I do this, the post does delete / transfer from the drafts folder so I suspect the issue only arises if the article is not completed during a given session. Having said that I can poke holes in that theory.
Whatever the circumstances or reasons, I would suggest you do the same thing. Let's free up resources and space for the benefit of everybody on here.
