I used to be so prolific in writing on P0x but nowadays time is of a premium and it is something I don't have much of.
The reason is very simple.
Those of you who know me have walked with us as BabyRah became Toddl-Rah and now LittleRah. At three years old he is a thriving little boy, cute and challenging but absolutely adorable (of course).
What has this got to do with my time management.
Well very simply something very exciting happened (it didn't just happen) eight weeks ago today.
LittleRah has a little brother! Tiny_Rah!
... and Tiny_Rah's arrival has turned MamaRah's and my lives upside down again, as is only natural with the arrival of a newborn.
We love him to bits and the return to sleeplessness as well as the challenge of having two small children is totally worth it. while at the same time exhausting.
Now I have to be fair.
For a variety of reasons MamaRah is carrying the brunt of the childcare and especially for the little one so if I am tired she is absolutely exhausted. She does the night feeds and between the two boys and the pregnancies it is more than three years since she has had a decent night's sleep. I do try to get up earlier so she can sleep in a bit, but this is very hit and miss depending on the boys, and even so it doesn't change the fact that she has disturbed nights regardless of what I do or don't do.
From a personal point of view I have to admit (and remind myself) that I do not have the failings that I initially had with his big brother. You may remember how in those first few weeks of his life how I wrote about being terrified of him - he was so tiny and I was so worried about inadvertently hurting him.
With Tiny_Rah I have no such problems and everything came back naturally and totally unproblematically. It really is like learning to ride a bike - you simply never forget. Nappies, feeds, picking him up (that was the biggest single problem I had with BabyRah as he was), etc has just come back to me naturally and easily.
Much to everybody's relief I am quite sure.
So fellow P0xers I am still around and I am still in touch with you guys even if I seem to have vanished.
As always stay safe and stay well.
