Starting yesterday with LoopRing I thought I would spend a few posts taking a tour down memory lane and look at how some of the former crypto tokens adopted by POx are doing with a bit of background thrown in for fun. I am going to present them in no particular order but not going to give any attention to Ethereum because that is a topic that has been amply covered by many including myself.
So for today it is SPOT.
Launched in 2022 on the Ethereum platform SPOT was a favoured tipping token for a fair while on Publish0x, although as has often been the case, especially historically, I just held it there until Publish0x abandoned it and converted it into another currency. I think out of all of the tipping currencies during my time this was the one that I was least able to utilise.
Currently valued by CoinGecko at GBP £0.34 (USD $0.45), by all accounts Spot seems to be dead. My research led me to a sentence that declared that according to CoinGecko there is a circulating supply of 519540.44189774 and a circulating supply of 0. Please forgive me I am only praphrasing what Bing told me (yes I am still staking up those points).
These statements are frankly contradictory and to further any confusion CoinGecko (not just a Bing summary, but I actually visited the site just now) said that in the last 24 hours trading volumes have amounted to $1,186.92, which is up by >550% on the day before.
So frankly, I am more confused than when I started. It is somewhere between dead and alive which I guess makes it undead and therefore that's my title. As you know my head is a mess at the moment so I am not going to dive any deeper and make my synapses implode - no more than they are already doing anyway
This article started with such good intentions, but I have just used a lot of words to say almost nothing! Please at least respect my endeavour.
As always stay safe and well my friends.
