Short, but certainly not sweet today!

I will start this post by saying I am pissed off! No notification, no warning and more online piracy from Coinbase who have performed yet another rug pull and at Christmas of all times.

Thursday / Friday each week is the time for me to received the rewards on my staked USDC interest, but when I checked today there was still no sign. Despite the fact that I thought it was executed through smart contracts is by the way, but I accepted that given the Christmas period it might be delayed, but when I checked there wasn’t even a note about the interest rate and the accrued interest was set at a big fat $0.00

So what the f**k has happened to my Coinbase USDC Interest?

Let me tell you something else. A couple of years ago I got badly burnt by Celsius but when they paid out about a year ago, I received equivalent to what I had invested directly with them (Celsius not my entire investment) but lost lots of my freebies including their incentive rewards, 3 BCH (mainly generated through Noise) and a whole lot of currency received through P0x. I got compensated in BTC and ETH and I wish I had hodled them for longer but as usual I moved too soon. Even today they are both still higher than when I made my move. I consolidated in USDC knowing two things. It equated to my entire investment fund and that it was nicely staking – so in fact I turned it into an online savings account and it also meant that I would never lose again. It then freed me up to work with the rest of my funds to invest in more volatile assets with mixed results (don’t mention BAND) and I was using my USDC interest to help fund my growth.

And now suddenly and abruptly it has stopped and so I will need to fund from elsewhere or maybe just remove my stacked USDC from their system and work with the remainder of the portfolio.

TBH I need USD to rally a bit against the GBP to do this – so will need to hold for a while longer.
