As humans, we are created with an accumulation of different emotions and sensations distinguishing us from all the rest of the creatures, these feelings offer us the ability to bind relations and communication with each other. Love is the first seed of emotions that was implanted in our hearts to bloom each moment during our daily livelihood.
I read a lot about love and was amazed by most ancient love stories. Through my readings, I liked a beautiful description written by the great Victor Hugo in his famous book :"Notre Dame De Paris" , it says :"Love is like a tree, it grows by itself, takes root in our whole being and often continues to grow green on its ruined heart" . A beautiful description don't you think so, but for my modest description, I think that Love is the salt of living, it's the torch that lights our days, it's the sunbeam that warms up our hearts, it may brings about joy as well as pain, but we are always looking for it to beautify our life.
Everyone dreams of an exceptional love story, beginning from the age of teenage until years of old age,there is no exception in falling in love , either reciprocal, or one sided love , or whatever the situation may be, love remains a fact, a gift and a stunning divine grace.
Each human being is appraised to fall in love, sooner or later, it's a fate, a thing that happens during life with no reason, related to nothing, neither scheduled time nor a place, it just happens like any other event, but this is more mesmerizing, more interesting and more intriguing, because it turns our life upside-down. We may be waiting for it sometimes, but we never know how, where or when. Love may strike our hearts, in a blink of an eye, but is it really the true one we were dreaming of or a fake one playing with our feelings ?!!!
In the golden age, love began with a gaze , just a look that subjugates the heart and captivates the soul, followed by a smile that weaves the threads of a love story between two hearts that were spiritually attracted and morally agreed to write down their story lines, which may be completed by a happy end and crowned with association ie, marriage or ends with a break up or even with an immortal tragedy. In any case, classic love stories were characterized by devotion, loyalty and nighthood, a unique romance that faded away as much as time passed, societies developed and mankind prospered.
The most wonderful love stories alike took place through history, among them, we could mention: The story of Romeo and Juliet, of Cleopatra and Antonio, Delilah and Samson and other stories of platonic love and forbidden love. Stories which are still taken as the best examples to show real passion and love, to highlight the beauty of romance and the greatness of the Era where lovers wrote verses about their beloved ones or draw sketches of their lovers. A time of the sincere hearts and pure souls dying for the sake of love like Romeo and Juliet or turning insane like the Majnoon and Leila....
Nowadays, love stories are, no doubt, different. In the presence of social networking sites,and social media, most love stories begin by liking a post and then chatting in private or in chat rooms , ending in a marriage that may succeed for the lucky ones or fail for others, miserably ending by just a block easily as if nothing had happened. This is a little image drawn of a love relationship happening in our time of globalization. Of course, I don't generalize, there are always exceptions, we may never equal the romantic times, but there still be some beautiful idylls.
Obviously, there is a wide difference between ancient platonic love and virtual or contemporary love. Although the heart is the same, the feelings differed greatly and the ways of expressing them differed more. This difference makes us question ourselves, do we still believe in the existence of true love?!!
With all of the above mentioned , we might be doubtful and less persuasive about the credibility of love that we meet, because intentions become worse and hearts turned to be more callous for a reason or another. However, I think that as long as we bear our beautiful human essence, with good hearts and pure souls, there still be a great chance that love exists maybe in other forms, maybe rare, yet, we still believe in humanity's true emotions in some way.
we cannot deny that some people still love sincerely and there are still true love stories being woven around us, we may not have heard about them, but we know that they exist among us, whether in the old or modern way , no matter how, the most important thing is that it is actually a lived reality despite all the changes that had occurred In societies and technological development, which greatly affected humanity, positively and negatively.
Personally, I believe that true love is still present in our lives, maybe not in that beautiful image we had read about or like the stories written about old romances for decades, it may have become rare and difficult to believe in, but it exists in one way or another. Though there's no famous modern love story that overwhelmed us spiritually and mentally, otherwise, not immortalized as the love stories were immortalized in the golden times, love still persists despite everything .
Last but not least , I think that real love still survives in current times, as a money change between us, still vibrate more hearts, still generates pulses as long as flowers bloom, as long as the crescent turns into a moon, as long as stars twinkle in the sky and the humankind care for each other , love will always prevail.
