Contentment is being satisfied with what you own already as if you own everything.

It is the contentment that makes the difficult easy, makes the rejected acceptable, and makes the ugly beautiful. It reduces the effect of disability and fills our souls with the spirit of struggle and striving in life.

However, there are circumstances that we  hate while they are good for us ; and others we love they are bad for us. 

Here is a short story related to the fact of being contented or discontented in some situations we found ourselves involved in . 

There were days when a bird did not speak to God as he was used, the angels asked:

Why did the bird not speak to you, O Lord?

God’s response:
He will inevitably come, for I am the only ear that listens to his complaint.

One day the bird stood on a tree branch and the angels were waiting for him to utter some words, but he remained silent. 

Then,  God Almighty spoke with him: Speak about what upset your chest bird. 

The bird replied : I had a small nest that was the refuge of my fatigue and my loneliness, so that you took it from me, O Lord?
Why did you send the storm? What bothered you about that small nest? And the bird was emerged with its tears.

Silence dissolved in the kingdom, and the angels lowered their heads thinking about the bird's complaint. 

God Almighty replied to the bird: There was a snake heading for your nest, and you were sleeping, so I commanded the wind to turn it over to make it soar so that you fly and survive.

The bird was confused in the lordship of God and seemed to figure out the situation at last .

God Almighty said: How many misfortunes have I removed from you because I love you, but you were hostile to me because of that.

Tears gathered in the eyes of the bird and filled the heavens with tears saying: 
My Lord how Merciful you are, glory be to your lordship!!!

The morality of the story is clear enough to be understood that we should never be sad if God prevents us from something that we love. If we knew how he manages our affairs, our hearts would melt from his love.

How great are you, O God!

When you find a person who stood beside you one day, remember that it is God who has subdued him to stand by your side to relieve you of what you are in, and when you find yourself alone with no one by your side, remember that God will help you.

No matter how painful God's destiny seems to us , trust that there is great mercy in it. Sometimes, we consider our troubles and hardships as a curse, meanwhile, it hide behind it a great goodness and safety that we would recognize, but lately.

So whatever the circumstances are, whatever the destiny seems dark, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, because God's management of our lives is the best. Our contentment of the life we lead enhances the feeling of comfort and happiness. As long as we are satisfied with our destiny with its both sides, goodness and badness, we would enjoy life fully in peace and serenity.
