It's the turn to learn how to store the private crypto keys securely.

I will separate the information into two groups. For wealthy people and "not so wealth" (as myself)

Wealthy!

The best way to store your crypto keys is a ledger. This is a hardware wallet that stays offline and secures your crypto. It will cost you some fiat (between 80$ and 280$ in the time of writing) but it will assure you that your keys will stay secure. 

Remember you should take a lot of caution on where do you introduce those keys and necer do it on public computers or untrusted networks. Also, a big security improvement is to buy a cheap laptop that will only be used to manage your crypto wallets, separating it from the rest of your computing network.

"Not so wealthy"

Well... welcome to the club, we don't want to spend 80$+ on a ledgerif we don't even have that amount on crypto. We want a cheaper way of storing those keys securely without risking it too much.

I will give you 2 options i've been implementing.

Paper

Yes, paper. The cheapest and one of the most secure options. Take a piece of paper and write doen your keys. Then find a secure place to store them, I use a small safe under my bed that i already had before starting my crypto journey.

USB Drive

A USB Drive is the other method I've been using. I saved all my keys in there and took it to the save in my parent's house. As easy as that.

Things to have in mind

• Redundancy: To securely save the keys, you don't only want anyone accesing them. You also want to be able to access them if you loose the information. Be sure that you have at least 2 different places (physical places if possible).
• NEVER Online: Never is never. if you store your keys in your email you can be affected by a lot of cyberattacks.
• Don't share: Don't tell anyone where those keys are. You can only trust youself.
• Take your will into account: A crypto wallet cannot be accessed without the keys. Make sure that if something happens to you, the people you give your will knows where the keys are stored.
