POWER and HONOR in Ecclesiastes
Ecclesiastes 4:1 Then I returned and saw all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and, behold, the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter, and on the side of their oppressors there was POWER; but they had no comforter.
Ecclesiastes 5:19 Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him POWER to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor-this is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 6:2 a man to whom God gives riches, wealth, and HONOR, so that he lacks nothing for his soul of all that he desires, yet God does not give him POWER to eat thereof, but an alien eats it; this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
Ecclesiastes 8:4 For the king's word has POWER, and who may say to him, “What do you?”
Ecclesiastes 8:8 There is no man that has POWER over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power over the day of death, and there is no discharge in war: neither shall wickedness deliver him that is given to it.
Ecclesiastes 8:9 All this have I seen, and applied my heart to every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man has POWER over another to his hurt.
Ecclesiastes 10:1 Dead flies cause the oil of the perfumer to send forth an evil odor; so does a little folly outweigh wisdom and HONOR.
