The Sui blockchain has seen staggering growth in the last few months, emerging as one of the leading Layer 1 blockchains and considered by many as the "Solana killer”. Sui has been hitting milestone after milestone, with its TVL up eight-fold since January to $1.6 billion, supported by a strong uptrend in daily active addresses and an all-time high in monthly DEX trading volume. This success can be attributed to the growing anticipation around new projects and developments, including hot DePIN projects Chirp and Karrier One, and the recent launch of "Kage" - the world's first DePIN P2E game with genuine, real-world utility.

DePIN – short for decentralized physical infrastructure networks – is a burgeoning sector that is attracting a great deal of attention right now and being touted as the innovation that will finally bring mainstream adoption to Web3. DePIN connects the Web2 and Web3 worlds by linking blockchain with physical devices like smartphones, antennas, or batteries, to bring real use cases to crypto.

Through these physical devices, users can contribute to a better world in industries like healthcare, telecommunications, transportation, energy, and many more. For example, physical devices can be used to monitor weather patterns, while users receive tokens as rewards. Through physical antennas, users can create community-powered telecommunications networks enhanced by blockchain technology, all the while earning rewards for doing so.

The hottest DePIN projects on Sui

Right now, Sui is playing host to some of the most exciting DePIN projects, many of which have chosen this blockchain for its ultra-high speed, incredibly low fees, and the secure “Move” programming language it is built on. These advantages make Sui a perfect choice for DePIN projects that deal with large quantities of data daily and require fast and secure transfers.

One of the hottest Sui-based DePIN projects is Chirp. Chirp allows its users to build a fully decentralized wireless network by owning and operating physical miners called Blackbirds. These small but powerful gateways provide broad connectivity for IoT devices and generate $CHIRP token rewards for operators.

What’s particularly exciting about Chirp’s wireless IoT network is that it’s completely radio-agnostic, which means almost any IoT device can connect to it, regardless of what connectivity method (i.e. Bluetooth, LoRaWan or others) it uses. Chirp is already connecting thousands of devices across 39 countries, and this is just the beginning. Through its miners and powerful IoT platform, Chirp is finally connecting today’s highly fragmented IoT landscape.

With the project approaching its eagerly anticipated token launch, and the launch of Sui’s first ever DePIN P2E game “Kage” on Monday 25 November - which allows players to earn $CHIRP tokens before public launch - now is the time to pay attention to Chirp.

Other exciting DePIN projects on Sui include the decentralized mobile network Karrier One and the decentralized ride-hailing platform, DRIFE. Karrier One uses blockchain technology to build a global 5G network, in particular delivering connectivity to remote areas with poor connections. With a similar mission to Chirp, Karrier One aims to provide affordable and reliable telecom services to everyone who needs them.

DRIFE was so convinced of the advantages of the Sui blockchain for DePIN, it transitioned its $DRF token to Sui from BNB this summer. Its blockchain-based model connects drivers with passengers and allows them to keep 100% of the fare, unlike traditional ride-hailing apps. DePIN’s ability to connect blockchain with the real world is attracting the interest of both retail and institutional investors and even the attention of serious rating agency Moody’s, which recently released a report on DePIN’s huge growth potential.

The P2E gaming revolution on Sui

Another exciting use case for Sui is in the P2E gaming sector, with the blockchain’s design offering tools specifically optimized for game developers. Already, this leading Layer 1 blockchain is hosting several popular P2E games, including a social building game Cosmocadia, shooter game Bushi, and tank brawler Panzerdogs, via its gaming hub, Play Beyond.

New developments are also coming in hot and fast. Over the summer, shooter game Xociety raised $7.5 million in pre-Series A funding. During its beta testing, the game already attracted more than 3,000 users from 76 different countries, impressing investors. September also saw the eagerly-anticipated launch of E4C: Final Salvation, launched on the Sui blockchain by leading game development studio Ambrus Studio as part of a major partnership.

And then, of course, there’s the SuiPlay0X1 – the first-ever handheld Web3 gaming device, set to be released in 2025. There has been huge hype building around this product – the first of its kind. Like DePIN, SuiPlay0X1 will connect the disparate worlds of Web2 and Web3, but this time through gaming. In the first two weeks, more than 2,000 devices were pre-ordered. In short – the hype is real!

Chirp connects DePIN and P2E for explosive growth

But that’s not all. Sui-based Chirp has just dropped something even more exciting – a new-generation game that will link the popular DePIN and P2E trends for the first time: Kage.

Kage is another way to join the Chirp ecosystem and start earning $CHIRP tokens. However, unlike operating a Blackbird miner, Kage doesn't require any additional hardware – all users need is a smartphone.

In Kage, users detect wireless networks with their smartphones, earning the soon-to-be-launched $CHIRP tokens in return. On top of this, Kage adds an extra element of fun through a “Pokémon Go”-style treasure hunt named “Wings of Chronos” that will allow players to search for physical items equipped with Bluetooth beacons, and later also NFTs, to unlock further rewards and in-game benefits.

In this part of the gameplay, users earn “Feathers” that – in the game’s storyline – are artifacts from the past that appear in our time. Users can randomly find them on city streets. Technically, these are NFTs that players can collect and use to earn rewards and serve as additional motivation to search networks in new areas.

All of this, while collecting important geolocation data and contributing to the creation of a groundbreaking global geolocation database that has a whole host of applications in the real world. This data will be used to create navigation and wayfinding apps in areas where GPS doesn’t work – primarily indoors or in tunnels.

Imagine an app that directs you to the store you’re looking for in a shopping mall, or the very shelf with the product you need to buy in a supermarket. Though GPS navigation has been widely available since the turn of the century, no one has solved indoor navigation yet. This means Kage could be truly useful in the real world, all while keeping players entertained as they earn rewards - a triple win.

Real-world utility for P2E

This unique real-world use case is what makes Kage particularly exciting. Kage players collect useful data that creates opportunities for Chirp to build an innovative product that strengthens Chirp’s ecosystem and supports the $CHIRP token, meaning Kage players create value for a token they earn.

Kage is a game that will live beyond the initial hype and offer tangible benefits not only to its players, but to Chirp, Web3, and the world at large. Kage is one of the most innovative things to happen to P2E gaming in years and puts Sui at the forefront of P2E game development.

The game is also simple and accessible to anyone. To start playing, users just download the app directly from Chirp’s website https://chirptoken.io/kage, create an account on Chirp, and link a Sui wallet to start collecting rewards. Then, the game can run in the background as players go about their days, scanning networks and accruing rewards along the way. It’s so simple that even crypto newbies can get involved. And, with Chirp’s token launch on crypto exchanges just around the corner, now is a great time to collect $CHIRP tokens.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve already seen explosive growth from the Sui blockchain. With so many exciting DePIN and P2E projects building on Sui, as well as token and product launches in the pipeline, we’re in for even more growth as the altcoin season gathers pace.

Indeed, Sui is set to lead the way as a top Layer 1 blockchain and Solana rival. This blockchain hosts some of the most exciting new projects in the Web3 space – along with the first-ever DePIN P2E game that promises to truly make the world a better place. Don’t miss your chance to participate in the upside!
