Choose Your Track, Build, and Deploy Your Web3 Visions on ICP

There are two exciting tracks to choose from, giving you the flexibility to showcase your talent in the area that resonates with you the most.

The AI Track is where you can learn and explore the world of artificial intelligence. If you are fascinated by the idea of AI agents or want to explore the possibilities of decentralized AI (DeAI) and decentralized finance (DeFi + AI), then this is the track for you.

On the other hand, the General Track is for those who love to experiment with Web3. This is your canvas to create any decentralized application (dApp) using ICP. Whether it's social networking, gaming, finance, or something entirely new, the only limit is your imagination. 

You get the freedom to build the next big thing in the world of Web3.

Criteria for Participation

• Are you a developer, web designer, entrepreneur, or basically anybody with a technical background? 
• Is at least one of your founders for your project a legal adult? 
• Are you proficient in the English language? 

If you said yes to all these questions, then this hackathon is just the place for you.

Roadmap of the Hackathon

Starting February 24th, the ICP AI Agent hackathon has opened its doors to many developers and enthusiasts alike — here’s all the different phases the roadmap will go through:

Registration and Team Formation & Coding Bootcamp (March 17 - March 31, 2025)

• Register on TAIKAI's platform by creating an account.
• Build or join a team of 2 to 5 members with complementary skills.
• Join a coding bootcamp designed for developers to master coding on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP).

Ideation Phase (March 17 - March 24, 2025)

• Choose your track – AI Track or General Track.
• Receive mentoring to refine and enhance your project idea.
• Connect with ICP ecosystem projects to gain insights and learn from their experience.
• Plan your project details – problem statement, target audience, features, and timeline.

Hacking Phase (March 24 - April 6, 2025)

• Build your project using ICP’s languages (Motoko, TypeScript, Rust).
• Work together as a team by sharing ideas, leveraging each member’s strengths, and coordinating efforts to advance your project.
• Test and improve your project with continuous feedback and iterations.
• Create a pitch deck and a 5-minute video explaining your problem statement, solution, and uniqueness.

Code Submission Deadline: April 6, 2025

Submit the following on TAIKAI:

• GitHub Repository – containing your project’s source code.
• Pitch Video (max 5 min) – presenting your idea and solution.
• Pitch Deck – with clear visuals, problem statement, solution, impact, and novelty.

Judging and Voting (April 7, 2025)

• Projects are judged based on creativity, thoughtfulness, uniqueness, and code sophistication.
• Token-based voting on a public blockchain ensures transparency.

Announcements and Celebrations (April 7, 2025)

• Winners are announced, and prizes are awarded within 2 weeks.
