Bottle Pay: A victim of European Capitalism.

Tip this post if you enjoy it.

Bitcoin payments are slow and agonizing.

I once had a client on XBTFreelancer pay me 0.5BTC for a service rendered.

He paid it at 9:00am Eastern. It arrived 2:00pm Eastern. I almost reported him for fraud. But that was my first time sending such a huge amount.

Needless to say, we never had any business together again.

But my reason for writing this post today is simple. The lightning network has the ability to change that.

But it's not being supported well, if at all.

In fact, Bottle Pay, a lightning network wallet provider recently got closed down due the fact that the EU asked all cryptocurrency companies to either reveal all their customer personal details (so their old officials can stare at it all day) or pay 2 million pounds a year to offset that.

For Bottle pay, a service actually giving out free sats, this was bad news.

Of course, they had to shut down.

The point of Cryptocurrencies is anonymity. That's the first and major perk.

Taking that away makes crypto a digital version of money, what Skrill and Payoneer already offer.

It takes away that feature of crypto, and commercialises it.

This has gone too far. The lightning network needs more support, and mass adoption.

its the solution to Bitcoin's problems.
