Blockchain music: How to do it right.

Blockchain music is slowly becoming the new "in-thing".

And while I wholeheartedly believe that not everything should have a Blockchain, I kind of agree with the mantra behind this one.

You see, copyright infringements on traditional music is really an eyesore nowadays.

There are sites that have stolen music ready to download immediately. These sites even encourage the use of Tor browsers and VPNs to ensure your downloads can't be traced to you.

This really hurts the musician's pocket, as he spent time and money to make the song, and would like to get something back for it.

Musicians now have to resort to doing shows to get any money at all. There's no more money in selling songs.

Sure, you may argue that Spotify is a thing. But I recently found out that there are hacked Spotify apps that allow you to use all the premium services without paying. So there goes royalties on the music.

So what is the solution to this problem?

Blockchain music.

And here's how to do it right.

Blockchain music would be controlled by smart contracts(obviously).

The contract will be programmed to give users access to the music only when a payment in Ether or any other Cryptocurrency is made.

Obviously you can't get around a smart contracts programming. It's plastered solid.

And through the music app, there is always an address back to the block that you paid to access. So you can always access your music without actually downloading it on your device.

There are still ways of stealing the music, even while using this method.

Some may pay for their subscription, and record the song using external mics. Then they might mix and remaster the song and start selling it.

But it will make the process much harder.

And there could even be codes written in the contract to block any form of recording through an audio recording device(I'm not sure if this is possible, but there are sites that block screenshots, so I guess it is).

This way, the singer get ALL the royalties he deserves and can continue to produce quality music.

This is just my two cents. What do you think?
