So, I decided to investigate Bitland's customer service online chat a little bit.  Here is the transcript of that conversation:

Question : Is it possible to get a refund for purchased mining power?

Jordan: I just paid $30 in BTC for mining power. I want to know if I can give up the mining power and get a refund.

Support staff: deposit takes 10 mins to 6 hrs

Jordan: No, I have the mining power. The payment worked. I want to undo it.

Jordan: Okay, I guess I'll just have to update my website and steer my users away from this business.

Support staff: what why?

Jordan: That's what I want to know. Why can't you reduce my mining power and give me back my BTC?

Jordan: I made the purchase today, it's not like I've been using it for weeks already.

Support staff: you can earn per day fix earning

Jordan: What prevents you from giving me back what I spent?

Support staff: are you mad or stupid? I think you are a mad person if you deposit the funds how its possible to back you can only gain from mine

Support staff: and when you reach the minimum withdraw amount you can withdraw

Support staff: don't spam it will ban you automatically

Support staff: $1=2000ghs

[03:42]

Jordan: As yet, it has not been explained to me how one hashrate figure applies to several different algorithms

Support staff: so with 30$ = 60,000ghs

[03:42]

Jordan: I suspect that is because no actual mining is happening.

Support staff: and according to your plan and level you can earn per day

[03:42]

Support staff: if you suspect ask the management

Support staff: what Information I have I am already provided

Support staff: go to the site click on the contact tab fill up the feedback form and ask the management about your query I don't know so it's better to no comments about this matter.

I'm sorry, but when did it become acceptable for customer service reps to call customers stupid or crazy?  Also, the rep couldn't answer any of my questions about the mining process, so I took their advice and emailed management, then followed that with an email about maybe hiring some more courteous reps because this is how you lose customers.  Keep your money for now, as I suspect this will prove to be a HYIP pyramid since I can't imagine any way they could use one hashrate for mining algorithms that are completely different.  I would love for someone to correct me if I'm wrong.
