The Good Gorgone | #AleniaCyberspace | #1ADay series. Today's thoughts fluttered around Mythology.
This simple 2nd drawing was inspired by Medusa, minus the snakes. What makes of a good story a Mythos and what makes of a good story a Religion? Probably both are a collection of "good lies" but what makes one more credible than the other? In all cultures one can find both religions and mythology, probably not on the same page, yet both "teach" about morals and try to come up with an explanation about the creation of matter, humanity and the significance of life. The answer may be simple: The essence of religion is simple, relatable, obtainable. It comes with a earthly list and guidelines.
Mythology, on the other hand, presents itself as complex and undirect, void of instruction or clear delineation; myths speak to the primitive in us.
Self acknowledgement above teaching.
