Thus, it is difficult not to notice that in Oxford and Cambridge there is a real cult of antiquity: ethics and aesthetics, history, mythology, culture.
All other phenomena in the British picture of the world are explained by a naturalistic approach to everything and evolutionary biology.
The shelves in bookstores are simply bursting with books on the history and culture of Ancient Greece and Rome; next to them there will be books on evolutionary biology.
2023 is just around the corner, and in Britain tons of more and more books about Antiquity are being published with such enthusiasm and zeal, as if the British were living according to the canons of ancient Greece or Rome right now, drawing inspiration from there for their everyday life, trying to find answers to questions modernity in antiquity, rethink it.
One gets the impression that Christianity at the value level, as a phenomenon, does not exist in England at all, only antiquity and paganism, the French enlightenment, Darwin.
