There is an understanding that, despite all their “philanthropy,” people are cattle, held back only by the fear of punishment. That even if you take away the semblance of law enforcement, your “good-natured” neighbor will be the first to come in with an ax to rob you, and on occasion, he will kill, or maybe rape, your wife or daughter... I have never understood “philanthropists.” You are such a “philanthropist”, claiming that the people around you are “kind”, and you love everyone and everyone loves you... but why then does a philanthropist have an iron door with a bunch of locks? From "good people"??? Extreme forms are always unhealthy. Realism is important here. But the reality is that there are very few conscious and very many stupid primates around, who are restrained only by fear of punishment or a demonstration of strength, because they respect only strength and not the strength of the mind...
