Privacy and security in the digital age

"Here's my phone, here's my life, make yourself at home."

Privacy in 2026 is not about "what are you hiding". It's about who can assemble your digital model and how deeply.

Privacy in the digital age is not a matter of "I have nothing to hide." It's a matter of control, autonomy, and the ability to remain yourself in a world where every action can potentially be recorded, analyzed, and used.

Do you really think that "you have nothing to hide"? Okay Then in fact.

You're not just texting, you're giving up your entire network of contacts. Who is writing to you? Who are you writing to? How often. You don't just walk around the city — you draw a map of your life. House. Work. Habits. Even without words, it's clear who you are. You don't just pay for something - you tell me how you live. Food. Services. Interests. Your life is a list of transactions. You don't just "flip through the feed" on social media — you teach the system how to manage you. What makes you angry. What's bothering you. What are your weaknesses? You don't install the app, you open access to yourself. Camera. Microphone. Files. You said, "Come in." And don't rely on "everything is fine now." Anything is possible today. Tomorrow is no longer possible. And the data is already there. And they're waiting. "I have nothing to hide" is not a position, it is a permission. Permission to watch, collect, analyze. You're not just a user, you're a dataset that everyone already knows. You don't worry about privacy. Great. You're the perfect user. I have nothing to steal, come in without knocking. Today you are a "normal" person, and tomorrow you are "interesting" to someone. Everything is recorded, everything is analyzed, everything is stored. But that's not "surveillance," it's "convenience," isn't it?

Is it possible to maintain complete privacy? No, in the modern world, complete anonymity is almost impossible without a radical rejection of digital technologies. Is it worth trying? Yes, for several reasons: 1) The level of privacy determines the level of pressure that you are willing to endure; 2) Even partial protection increases the cost of surveillance; 3) Collective behavior changes norms. Privacy is not about hiding the illegal. It's about protecting individual autonomy from any kind of pressure — government, corporate, social.

And finally. No messenger makes you completely anonymous. The only difference is how difficult it is to get access to you. The "Max" messenger is a "super application" that does not use end-to-end encryption. Any data passing through the application can be considered to be in the hands of its owner, which means the Russian state. The key factor is encryption: End-to-end encryption means that the message is encrypted on the sender's device and decrypted only on the recipient's device. The service itself (and the authorities) technically cannot read it during the transfer process. The lack of encryption makes correspondence accessible to the service operator and, at his discretion, to the state. Max is a control tool that disguises itself as a regular messenger. Using it is not a technical solution, but a legal consent to data processing according to the laws of the Russian Federation.
