The awe and admiration with which educated people in England and Europe treat Russian culture never ceases to amaze me.
It seems that in England (and not only), interest in Russian culture is synonymous with the word “intelligentsia”.
From teenagers and people of retirement age, from just acquaintances to the boss at work, from book bloggers to just well-educated people, everyone simply “shows off” and self-praises by reading Russian literature.
